New tools for developers are cool, too, says GigaOm, as the software opens "more options for payments... a vibrant paid web and a micropayment economy" among other stuff.

Design Sponge Online says two of the coolest new apps are paint-selection tools from Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore that allow you to snap a picture of something and magically match it to a paint color from their collections.

Also getting raves is a new app from car-sharing service Zipcar that, Jalopnik reports, lets users find, reserve and control Zipcars from their phones.

They haven't yet announced full control of the steering from an iPhone yet."
